At one time, radio station KLRC-FM, 101.1, was so small its 100-watt signal barely covered Siloam Springs. A training ground for aspiring broadcasters at John Brown University, the station was on air only when students were available to man the controls. The rest of the time, static crackled on the station's frequency.
