After stacking hay, digging fence posts and building up muscles on his family farm outside tiny Oak Ridge, La., getting after quarterbacks has proven quite a natural state for Arkansas defensive tackle D.D. Jones.

The true freshman had been having a solid rookie season, playing behind sophomore Zach Stadther, until last Saturday.

That’s when Jones took a star turn on the SEC stage. Jones posted his first two career sacks against Florida quarterback Tim Tebow, throwing the senior quarterback for 19 yards in losses.

He’s set off chatter from Arkansas to Louisiana, where he was playing ball for Bastrop last year.
