Enforce noise ordinances I was actually shocked to see the letter from the gentleman complaining about the unnecessary noise that is rapidly on the increase from unmuffled motorcycles, particularly “rolling thunder” Harley-Davidsons.

Re: Ms Hackers response to Mr Royer's comments, "Deal with Control." It appears Ms Hacker's retort - like the Democrat controlled Congress - is somewhat misguided. Mr Royer's lament pertains to Gene Lyons obsession with the liberal Democrat agenda. Believe me, we get it already. As for the freedoms Ms Hacker has not lost, although there have been losses previously, Mr. Royer's comment is directed - and rightly so - to the freedoms and liberties that will be lost should the so called health care bill, recently passed by the House, become law. Many of those who voted for Mr Obama have extracted their head from the sand and are now aware of the radical direction his administration desires to move our country in - thus the "Dismantling of America" per Thomas Sowell. Unfortunately, many others are keeping their heads buried. It is apparent that those misguided souls took their heads in a more circuitous route.
