Panthers will play after player’s death

Siloam Springs will play its football game against Harrison as scheduled Friday night following the death of one of Siloam Springs’ players.

Cody Noble, 16, died Monday at his home. Noble, a junior wide receiver, was a captain on the football team and ran track for the Panthers.

Siloam Springs’ football team did not practice Monday following news of the death, and it canceled its junior varsity game against Springdale Har-Ber.

Siloam Springs Coach Bryan Ross met with players Tuesday for the first time since Noble’s death. The players decided they wanted to go ahead and play Friday night’s game, which is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. in Harrison. It will be the regular-season finale ...
