Arkansas’ prolific passing game had its troubles completing throws and keeping quarterback Ryan Mallett comfortable in losses to Alabama and Ole Miss earlier this season.

Now comes South Carolina, whose pass defense is statistically better than the Crimson Tide and Rebels at not giving up yardage. The Gamecocks feature one of the country’s top pass rushers in Eric Norwood and one of the best tacticians in Ellis Johnson, South Carolina’s assistant head coach for defense.
