Planes took off from Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport for St. Louis eight times a day soon after the airport’s opening in 1998.
After Nov. 18, there will be no St. Louis flights from XNA.
American Airlines is ditching its one remaining flight from XNA to the Missouri city as part of its increased focus on the airline’s operations to Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Miami, Los Angeles and New York, said American Airlines spokesman Andrea Huguely.
“It’s not just XNA to St. Louis that’s going to be different,” Huguely said.
“We’re decreasing by 46 flights (to St. Louis) by next summer.”
